Jacob Taylor
Founder & CEO
Jacob is the Founder and CEO of Perspective Fund and serves as Executive Producer at Perspective Films. He founded Perspective Fund in 2015 after starting his career in documentary and narrative production in Los Angeles. Over the past decade, his work at Perspective has supported more than 150 documentary films, building one of the leading foundations dedicated exclusively to the form.
His work is rooted in a belief that documentary remains one of the most trusted narrative forms we have. It is a medium that allows us to explore complex and challenging topics grounded in human experience, one that reflects society’s beauty and flaws in equal measure.
Beyond Perspective, Jacob works at the intersection of media strategy, digital content, and communications research, with a focus on depolarization, civic participation, and rebuilding trust in democratic institutions. His approach centers on developing measurable, evidence-based models for understanding how storytelling and media shape public understanding and political discourse.
He splits his time between the US and the Netherlands, where living abroad has shaped his thinking on culture, policy, and the role shared narratives play in both.
