Perspective Films seeks artistically ambitious nonfiction films with the potential to expand public understanding, shape culture, or drive systems change.
Eligibility
Perspective Films is an invitation-only opportunity.
The following criteria represent the minimum requirements for consideration. Projects that do not meet these requirements will not be advanced for review, regardless of other strengths.
CORE REQUIREMENTS
Format: We primarily support feature-length and short-form documentary films.
Project Stage: We prioritize projects in advanced development or early-to-mid production but may also consider projects at later stages when our partnership can still meaningfully strengthen the film’s trajectory in terms of storytelling, distribution, or engagement outcomes.
Producer Requirement: Projects should include a producer with meaningful decision-making authority and the experience to guide the project through production, financing, and release.
Selection Criteria
Perspective Films seeks artistically ambitious nonfiction films that engage complex social, cultural, or political issues with nuance and depth. We prioritize projects with the potential to expand public understanding, shape culture, or drive systems change. Each project is evaluated for what it can uniquely contribute to the broader landscape of work already in motion.
Together, these elements indicate a project's overall potential and readiness. Selected films are typically exceptional across multiple criteria.
